We fans lost the chip on our shoulder when we were admitted to the ACC. We

used to love to hate the ACC because they acted better than little ole VT, who for years wasn’t in an all sports conference & then finally got admitted into the Big East which helped our recruiting ability but wasn’t the ACC.
The good old days were when our fans didn’t have to debate who to cheer for on any given weekend when there were out of conference games. We all knew to pull for every BE team playing any other out of conference team just to help our strength of schedule. We even cheered for Miami. Now half of our fans would rather see half the other ACC teams lose.

We’ll never be able to prove it but if we could, I’d bet Miami, VT and WV would still be battling for football national prominence every year & Clemson wouldn’t have the domineering stature they have today had we all stayed in the BE.
