We need to remember that VT was made VT partially by the fans

Our fanaticism in the face of huge built-in challenges made us the darling of ESPN during a particular time period when the network was attempting to grow its coverage of college football. Now that the landscape has changed, we are being challenged to not forget who we are.

The game has changed. Snot Bubbles aren't as kosher as they once were, but that doesn't mean we can't still recapture tenacious and opportunistic defense. Let's face it - That ain't ever gonna be UNC. They forsook that when Carl Torbush was let go as defensive coordinator.

I am with many of you here in considering these difficult and aggravating days. Does the ship get righted and we return to 9 or 10 wins this year? I don't know - hard for me to see it. BUT I WANT IT. I don't want the team to fall short of this because of my aggravation with coaches or approaches.

We are VT. Let's Go!
