The media angle has always been a problem


The rise of Virginia tech football was done despite a local media that despised Virginia tech athletics and complete indifference from the national media. Virginia tech rose despite the headwinds of sports reporters that ignored us unless they could report bad news.

The Virginia tech caught a tailwind. People standing in your way kick the bucket. You win games and create a compelling story, and ESPN noticed. The rest is history

2020 was a crap show. 2021 things will go back full force. The media led by ESPN will promote college football hard. Tech has to produce a positive story they have to report. We need our Oddicci Alexander. Hopefully Kelly rochard will be it for Virginia tech.

I’m the gridiron, techs best moments have come when we’re underdogs. Beat teams the espn talking heads don’t think you have any chance to beat. Those stories propel espn and those type of moments are why Virginia tech fans love their Hokies
