So I watched the play at the plate from game 2

Sorry was catching up on DVR, lol, plus it was 8-0 when I checked.

The umpire definitely calls obstruction and points at home plate meaning the run scores. Now I didn’t see any clear obstruction on the play by the catcher but based on a couple factors here is my guess.

The home plate umpire isn’t emphatic with his call so I’m thinking it might have been a base umpire who called it, say the 3rd base ump. I did notice the runner came in super wide to home, so maybe the call was from when the runner rounded 3rd base?

Just an opinion based on what I saw from the live run.
