is simple and it is the execution that is difficult. Win more. Specifically, Clemson needs to maintain and at least 3 or more schools need to up their game. ND is not coming to the ACC unless the ACC beats them on a regular basis in the 5 game deal to where their CFP access is blocked. There are few expansion candidates outside of ND that even have a chance to move the needle and you do not expand to at best maintain the size of the individual slices of the pie. Phillips has to keep his eye snd pressure on ESPN to support the ACC. That happens by getting Comcast in the fold and lobbying as needed for equal/fair treatment of the ACC comparable to the SEC and positioning the ACC to be ready to respond to coming changes. I think things will be shaking up again by 2025 anyway with everything else on the collegiate sports landscape.
