BYU would have been a better add for the Pac-12 than Utah.


I know there is the issue of playing on Sundays in the other sports and the rather "secular" nature of the Pac-12, but BYU would have been a better pick for national and international cachet. The thing about BYU is that it is a private school that carries its weight almost as well as a USC or Notre Dame. And I think these types of schools and programs should be coveted since they are even more dependable in the future than public schools that might face budget cuts when state money is bound to get tighter.

That being said, Utah has met the challenge, and has been one of the biggest "winners" in 21st century of expansionpalooza.

If I were the BigXII, I would find a way to add BYU. Even if to go to just 11.
