I blame the infamous Wake game on the offense since the defense


did its job by not allowing Wake to score any points during regulation. You can't ask anything more from the defense...unless you are expecting the defense to do the offense's job by scoring points too.

While the Matty Ice Comeback I lean to blaming the defense for the loss since the offense did its job by scoring more points than BC and it was the defense's job to keep BC from scoring late in the 4th Quarter. Yes, it would have been nice if the offense had put up more points. However, that didn't jive with Beamer's philosophy to rely heavily on the defense and special teams to a lesser degree to go win games for VT.
