The robustness of the analysis and description is not commensurate

with the quality of the offense. That's not the point. He's providing an in-depth description of principles and practices for people who may be interested. You, clearly, are not interested -- so you're not the intended reader.

There are different kinds of angles to take to covering the program. Some articles are analytical, curious, etc. and provide a deep dive. Others are interviews with players and coaches that help reveal the "human element." Others are focused on strategic operations within the program.

Lots of ways for people to learn about the program, the people, and the tactical parts of how VT approaches the game. Some fans don't really care about any of that if VT isn't winning -- but some fans do. It is what it is.
