What else could Brandon write about during the offseason?

Yes, the product may be currently "average" at best by today's standards. However, the scheme may be the "cure" to what ailed VT fans during the Beamer Era when fans hoped to see VT with an offense (high powered offense?) that as on par to Foster's scheme. Unfortunately, that wasn't Beamer's style. Instead, he wanted to rely more (maybe heavily) on the defense and special teams to a lesser degree to go win the game. As a result, I wasn't always confident that offense could do what was necessary, flip a switch if you will, and go win the game for VT. There were times where it seemed like the offense may have gotten too conservative at times, turtle mode if you will, when it had the opportunity to march down the field and put the final nail in the coffin. The Matty Ice Comeback is a good example. Outside of the home game against Nebraska, I can't think of any other examples where VT did what Matty Ice did to VT that night.
