A good warranty may be a sign that a company believes they have built

a good product and are willing to stand behind it. But I've always found getting things fixed under warranty is a complete pain. In many cases, I'd rather just pay to fix it myself than wait for someone else to decide they can't wiggle out of paying for it. At least that way it gets fixed in a timely manner.

The one time I had a water heater die, I had it fixed that day. Same thing with the furnace blower motor. I don't need to tell you how much no hot water sucks. Going a day without heat in the house would have been as bad or worse.
