Lounge advice: At what temp do you set your water heater?

Moved into a new house (new to us, built in 2014) with 50-gallon, gas water heater. I’ve noticed that even in one shower, maybe 10 minutes in, I can feel a decline in water temp. Looked at heater and noted previous owners set it on “A.” Figured maybe I would go to B, but online sources note A is already above optimal temp setting. So what is your water heater set on? TIA.

A gas water heater absolutely should be able to keep up -- Tafkam Hokie 02/08/2021 11:51AM
