How old is the house? Newer houses with current codes should

Have the rooms and circuits separated more, helping you figure it out. For instance, bedrooms on their own arc-fault breakers, smoke detector circuit on its own breaker(I believe also and arc fault). Some have lighting on 15 amp exclusively and outlets all 20amp.
