online Car price negotiation HELP: Do's? Dont's? Pro's/Con's?

Anyone got any experience/success (or learnt anything the hard way)
to draw upon here?

Got it narrowed down to three new cars. (hopefully, no lemons live here).
Two are the exact same everything; just a diff' color of paint.
These I can (try) to play-off of each other,
back-n-forth... see how this end
of month goes...

Tho' how exactly do you electronically go back-n-forth?

(compared to haggling in person where you can (at times) pick up some interesting tells/tips; maybe, in theory)

any help(s) please?
