That sounds just like when we purchased our home in 2006.


We bought right at the peak of the market (in Richmond). We looked for 6+ months, and it took writing 7 contracts before we finally got a house. We had to offer over the asking price, but I think the only real reason is that the sellers needed to rent back for several months after closing, and it just so happened that they day they wanted to move out was the date of our wedding, which worked perfectly for us.
