I wonder what the next new "wonder" building material to be recalled

When I was house shopping just after the turn of the century, one of the houses I looked at had aluminum wiring. Can't imagine what it would cost to rewire an entire house...

But that house had carpets that had been torn up by dogs, and it smelled like urine...not a difficult choice...lol

It was on Little Neck, so I was on the fence...but I was on sea duty, and didn't have enough time to do the renovations required to make it livable.
