We bought a house with the same and found out during the inspection

The inspector pulled me aside and whispered that he found poly throughout. At the time, I didn't have a clue what that was. The first house ever that I did not check the plumbing prior to submitting a contract. Shame on me, long story. I did hire a plumber prior to our move in, and ripped every piece of that crap out and replaced with pex. Really hard to retrofit a home with copper after walls up. That was 10 years ago and so far so good. They took poly off the market years ago, class action suites, etc, etc. A mess. Btw, I am not a plumber.
