If you want to be on roads and trails (I assume you mean a gravel rail


like the Va Creep, New River or C&O) you may want to consider a gravel bike. Wider tires, frame geometry built lower to the ground, and likely ready for bikepacking accessories. Plus, I like the wider tires riding around Va Beach even on the road. You can get a carbon from bike, with descent components delivered to your house almost fully assembled for under $2K.
