if the fatality rate is closer to that of the flu if it's more contagious then logic dictates it will kill more people than the flu. And your last sentence is the problem we're going to face. People will think it's "ridiculous" to stay home when they have mild symptoms. So they won't. And they'll spread it to others who will in turn either have mild symptoms and spread it on... or will develop severe symptoms and potentially die. I've worked in an office environment long enough to know that many people won't stay home no matter what. That's the danger here because it's not about whether it's going to kill you... it's about you spreading it to others.
