think part of the problem is even the people who are in charge and/or do this for a living aren't entirely sure what's happening. The virus is too new for them to make any solid conclusions. I think we've lost the chance to contain it though. For awhile it looked like we were going to keep it concentrated to the Chinese mainland but the outbreaks in Italy and Iran were the tipping points as far as keeping it contained. It's going to spread worldwide now and we're already seeing that. Cases in pretty much every country are increasing and there's no way health agencies are going to be able to quarantine and trace them all.
