You're aware of Al-Anon, I assume?


They're set up for exactly what you describe, at least with the oldest child. I'm sure there's a similar one for depression.

Adult support groups, in general, fall into the "you get out of them what you're willing to put into them" category. It sounds like you're ready to buy in, so my suggestion would be to start with Al-Anon, since that's likely to be more prevalent, find a local group, and see how it fits you.
