Anyone ever done an adult Support Group? (inside)

I feel like I could benefit from some adult 'support' group.

Found out last summer my youngest was depressed/suicidal. She's was in a psychiatric hospital for 9 days, then a step down program, then another step-down program. She is on meds and has a therapist but she still had 'bad' days every so often and it is very stressful do deal with.

And then last summer my oldest went to ER with alcohol poisoning. Not crystal clear if she is an alcohol or not - but after another relapse she is way too close to becoming one.

So, life is quite stressful these days. I can't talk to my friends because they just don't 'get it' and the wifey is in the same boat so I feel like another outlet might be useful.

So, anybody every done some sort of adult support group? Helpful or not?
I realize every situation is unique but just curious if people have done adult support group or something similar.
