a UCLA, Arizona, et al type record, but we don't have their kind of schedule. We are .500 in the 4 games we've had against teams ranked close to us, in JMU and UGA. I think expectations need to be tempered a bit, because, IMHO, this is about a .500 team in a true softball power conference like the SEC or PAC 12.

The UNC series and ACC tournament will disclose a lot more.

This team does swing the sticks better than we ever have had, but will they be able to do that against top 10 teams? This team does have some solid pitching, but nobody close to an Angela Tincher, which is what it takes against top 10 teams.

Like I said, time will tell, and we may move further than I expect, but my expectations are for a 2nd or 3rd place finish in the ACC tourney, and probably a 1-2 showing in an NCAA regional.
