When the time is right add ND & 1 more. Have 4 divisions with close rivals

in each division. Then rotate the Divisions in a Home and Away series over 2 years...with the winner coming out of the two divisions matched up to play in the Conference Championship.

That means you play your 3 Rivals every year and you play the other teams in the conference during the regular season at least twice every six years. You could play them more if you meet in the Conference Championship in the years you are not playing them in division matchups.

Some version of this is coming, the next progress will be when the Big 12 GOR expires. Some Big 12 teams will jump ship again.
