it is a "no go" because the format you proposed would disrupt several important conference rivalries from being played annually as a conference game;

UVA vs. UNC aka "The South's Oldest Rivalry" and currently the longest continuous conference rivalry in college football
Clemson vs. NC State aka "The Textile Bowl"
VT vs. Miami
Clemson vs. GT
BC vs. Syracuse
VT vs. GT aka the "Battle of Techs"
