Thanks for the article. I don't think it is nearly as big an advantage as the original poster tried to paint though. Even in the article you reference the fact that there are still counter and roster limits impacts the number of players in the equivalency team sports. Not sure if there are like rules in individual sports like swimming or track and field which could be a big advantage. The next piece is the other financial aid be it a lottery(Hope, etc.)scholarship or other academic aid which typically comes with several qualifications in addition to normal academic progress including distribution under state and federal guidelines. While more scholarship money is an advantage the total impact is not nearly as great as the original poster asserts and is impacted by a variety of factors that mean the money is not necessarily a guaranteed thing from year to year.
