Iowa St is having a good season, but they've been bottom feeders most of

the time. Colorado and Nebraska were a TV rivalry and Bill McCartney and Colorado really played up the rivalry on their end too, but it was never a rivalry from Nebraska's perspective. From Nebraska's perspective, Oklahoma was THE rival, and that rivalry was killed by the formation of the Big XII. The Big XII North had some very good teams and competition in the 1990s to go along side Nebraska, and was originally a much better division than the Big XII South. The Big XII South took over as the dominant division in the 2000s, though, and while Kansas, Missouri, Kansas St., or Colorado would sometimes pop up with a good season or two, the level of competition overall (and Nebraska too) was way down. Iowa and Wisconsin are both better and more consistent programs than any of those former Big XII North schools during the last decade that Nebraska was in the Big XII, while the others are similar to the Big XII North schools for the most part.
