they recruited from all over the nation. Looking at their rosters, they had players from Florida, Ohio, Arkansas, Texas, Missouri, New Jersey,... They had good players from their own state. I bet they signed the top 3 or 4 players from their state every year. That may not have been that many but it added up after awhile. Tom Osborne was one of the greatest coaches of all time. He made it work back then. Can they find another coach as good as Osborne? Nebraska has more resources (Big 10 money) to succeed in the near future. They also have a rich football tradition that many schools can only dream about.
