The ACC doesn't have any of them covered in Connecticut.

The ACC chose to be in the northeast region. There are still significant geographic holes in the region that do not follow the ACC. Connecticut is one of them. Adding them gains the 3.5 million in the state and further strengthens presence in New York City and Boston. The ACC has a network to sell. There are a lot of viewers in that area, and Hartford-New Haven is the largest TV DMA remaining in the country without professional sports or a P5 team.

It also keeps the Big Ten out of New York and New England. We share Pennsylvania and the DC metro area with them. We don't need to share New York and New England with them.
