If I was the AAC, I would grab JMU. Expand the footprint, good academics,

two FCS National Championships in football. They pull students from up north. Could easily schedule many close by FBS teams and can host them from time to time...at least as compared to ODU.

They have the potential in basketball with the right coach. It's an easy drive from DC area.
