UT's out-of-state tuition is very high

In Georgia, we only have two universities with national reputations, and there's a big drop-off after that, meaning a lot of us have to look out-of-state. Auburn and Alabama seem to be the two most popular destinations, with Florida State third, and maybe UT fourth. I'm sure UT isn't more popular because they have the highest OOS cost of the four by a large margin.

I know it's way too early for my kid, but since he says he wants to be an engineer, my choices when I have to cross that bridge would be in this order: 1. Georgia Tech, 2. Virginia Tech, 3. U. of Central FL, 4. Auburn
