My guess is your hours might be flexible? If so- that opens all sorts of options then... just know the Legion Bridge is bad traffic wise. MD may start a massive construction project on its side if they ever agree to do something about traffic- but it's not likely. The bridge though can't really be expanded without its own major construction project... which would be a mess.

Anoter option... live inside the beltway with anywhere that has easy access to either GW Parkway, or N Glebe Rd. GW parkway outbound in the morning I dont' believe is too bad- adn N Glebe you can access Chain Bridge and should be able to get to outbound clara Barton Pky. Those are more expensive options, but could help you avoid having to be on the beltway for any longer period of time as that's miserable.

As somebody who is generally opposed to the State of Maryland... I'd suggest living there though to make your commute not too terrible. Just don't become a Marylande who says "Speed limit say 35... I'll go 80... oh there's my exit in 1/10 a mile and I'm 4 lanes away, heck I'll put my blinker and go and cars will just stop and let me go and so what if I cause an accident screw them for not knowing I was going to do something stupid"
