I started JV in 9th grade batted 4th & never struck out once when my school

didn't have access to a batting machine. Then in 10th grade I played varsity & we got a batting machine. Let's just say my confidence peaked in 9th grade. Lol. I always wondered if the batting machine was my jinx given the timing but I think you're right, my downfall had more to do with the pitcher's stronger arms & the curve ball. My reactions just weren't fast enough once I got to varsity to hit as well as I used to hit. Blows to this day! I couldn't been a contender!
