Need to move the water away from the wall on the outside
Most of the water is most likely running against the house on the surface then running down the foundation. That's an easy fix and will solve most, if not all of your problem.
Get fill dirt and lay it against the wall sloping away from the house as far as you can get it away. Pack it tight. Just moving it a foot away from the wall will dramatically remove the amount of water seeping in. Sounds way to simple, but it works, I've done it many times with success.
A contractor wanted to tear up the front of our house when I was a kid and put in drains and all sorts of stuff to stop water from soaking the basement. Many thousands of dollars. A friend of my Dad's recommended this approach. A truckload of fill dirt and a half day of my labor and his problem was solved, never saw a drop of water in the basement again.
If you can put a french drain (perforated drain tile inside gravel) at the base of the slope that will remove pretty much all of it. Another option is to put a "path" of gravel at the base of the dirt slop that can channel the water away...not as effective as the french drain but if you have the right slope on the property it can work.
If you can't keep it all out, the best option is to put in a trench along the wall that drains to a sump where you have a pump to take it outside.
First two options are simple and DIY, 3rd probably requires some help.
