When we were in the BE I learned one thing regarding ND.
That one thing is don't rely on ND to come in and save your conference. Fortunately we are now in the ACC and we don't need ND to come in and save our conference. And all of that is just fine. ND needs to do what is best for ND, just like VT would do. Certainly ND is the only big fish left in the pond for conference expansion, and the ACC is in the best position. But the adddition of ND is not something I want to waste my time anticipating. If it ever happens, great. If not, fine. The ACC is not falling apart. No, we are not the best football conference, but the road to improvement is through realistic improvements in the teams we already have in the conference, not in winning the ND lottery. If conferences make a move to 16 teams, then the ACC will have to make decisions and put pressure on ND, and then ND will have to make a choice. Until then, the deal we have with ND is bringing in some extra money which we are glad to spend. ACC football is in the hands of a few quality football teams already in the conference. All is good. This is not the days of a broken, poorly structured Big East in need of a savior. [Post edited by wwhokie1 at 05/17/2016 09:25AM]
