I called this months ago. Have them play 7 in basic 4 team pod structure.
ND could be in a pod of BC, Cuse, and UCONN/Navy. They would then play one of the other 3 ACC pods each season.
Furthermore, every ACC school would only play 7 games that count toward winning their respective division. It would be a round robin between those 8 teams for a spot in the ACCCG. It's much more competitively fair than what we do now, with some Coastal teams playing FSU and Clemson from the Atlantic while others play Cuse and Wake.
So VT might be in a pod with UVA, Louisville and Pitt. And in season in which VT didn't play their pod, VT could arrange to play Miami out of conference. Remember, we would have 5 games to work with. We could even agree to play teams like Clemson or Wake out of conference as well.
It just makes too much sense. ND would have PLENTy of room to get their "rivalries" with Stanford, USC, Navy, and Michigan in.
