What's this?

This first is about football & Navy has been better than most in the ACC,


including VT the last 3 years. Navy being in the ACC helps ND to have a national schedule if they are in the same division (especially if there are 4 divisions).

They also have good not great non-revenue sports. They won't be able to compete well in basketball, but the ACC will not be affected by that. They do bring a national audience and even a world wide audience and as the agreements shifts back to that and away from cable hook ups, that is important.

That said, they may decide not to get into the sports arms race, but I doubt it, I hear they want the spotlight to help them recruit all midshipmen. WADR that is a pretty important thing for the country and a lot of powerful people see it that way.
