It would be foolish for the ACC to let UConn go to the B1G or the Big XII.
My opinion is that the ACC should solidify itself as the primary conference in New England. I would invite UConn for all sports and ND for football. If ND won't join for football, I'd invite Navy as a football only. If Navy doesn't want that, I'd invite BYU for football only. I think BYU would take the offer an join. Then the ACC gets to 16 team scheduling, and we can worry about ND later.
Then after all of this when a Network is launched, I'd invite UMass-Amherst for men's lacrosse. They are sitting in the CAA because the A10 doesn't have the sport. I'd invite New Hampshire for women's gymnastics so UNC, Duke, and Pitt could bring their programs into the ACC. New Hampshire is already in that league they are in today. Those are ACC sponsored sports programs that are good candidates for Associate Members. After that, I'd negotiate with Hockey East to show UConn, Boston College, New Hampshire, and UMass-Amherst hockey games on the ACC Network.
The ACC may not be interested because New England isn't football territory. But with a network, things should be analyzed differently.
