Those are the WVU downsides.


They are the reason I initially was not at all for WVU in the ACC. But I've changed my opinion on it. I see a lot of value for the ACC with WVU due to rivalries with Pitt, VT, and Syracuse. I think rivalries are important, and I think WVU and it fans care enough about football even if they have to recruit out of state for players. They don't add fertile recruiting areas, but the ACC already has access to some of the best in the nation. I'm not sure that the ACC would need WVU for that. It's the rivalries. The real question here is to determine how much ESPN would pay the ACC to have WVU. That's what we need to know.
