For "real time sports coverage" could the differences in the codecs


be offset/minimized (not sure the right word here) by utilizing more a delay in the streaming until the technology has a chance to catch up. Unless the user is also watching the same event on the TV via cable/satellite provider, then the user would (naturally?) assume that the streaming is in "real time" even though there may actually be a few seconds lag. Would a majority of users be that upset if the "stream lag" increased a few more seconds to the point where a "live" stream on ESPN is of the same quality as streaming House of Cards on Netflix?
