There is still a problem in many rural areas were true high speed


internet is not available. Satellite internet has the problem of the FAP (fair access policy) that really does not allow streaming of anything longer than 15 or 20 minutes before the speed gets throttled back to near dial-up speed.
DSL has limitations with regard to distance to nearest hub that prevents rural homes from getting service and some of those areas have poor to non existent cell service. I lived in a very rural area of Scott County before I moved to Florida, my only access to ESPN was via Dish or Directv. Even over the air TV was limited to CBS and NBC. I had Hughesnet for internet, it did not support Netflix nor most any streaming service.
My point is there is still a large chunk of America where streaming video is not an option.
