I do agree that it is a strike. It just might be a minor strike.

The other schools could continue to play their games on Sunday and just play BYU on Saturday. For sports that would normally finish up a weekend series on Sunday, it would mean playing a doubleheader on Saturday which may not necessarily be a bad thing.

For conference tournaments that play a round on Sunday, BYU would have to decide whether to play the game on Sunday or forfeit the game. It would be no different than the decision BYU would have to face if their women's basketball team made it to the Final Four. The Semi-Final Round is played on Sunday and the Championship Round on Tuesday. I am sure there are other BYU sponsored sports that would have to make a similar decision if they made it far enough into the NCAA Tournament. I know the NCAA places BYU in a Thurs-Sat bracket (when possible). However, I don't see the NCAA moving a semi-final or championship game to a different date to accommodate BYU especially if the game is being televised.
