No doubt not playn those games hurt, but the ACC has blown scheduling since


expansion. IMHO both Miami and FSU wanted an easy route to the National Championship game and Swofford let them have it. In the meantime, the SEC and B1G are doing compelling matchups and running away from the ACC TV audience wise. The recruits go to the games that have passion, and say I want to be a part of that. Notre Dame should have played at least the schools with football history that year like Miami and Virginia Tech, instead they played the basketball schools for the most part. This is typical of what Swofford did for ACC scheduling, I hope Phillips with the no divisions apparently coming, gets compelling matchups in the conference.

The ACC has paid a huge price for poor scheduling IMHO and Notre Dame in 2020 is an example of that. They should have been trying to make Notre Dame not miss those matchups you mentioned, instead, they did the opposite IMHO.

PS I have probably defended Swofford at times more than anybody on this board because of Miami, FSU and Virginia Tech tanking, but a big part of that was his poor scheduling. He should have sold the members on looking at what the SEC and B1G were doing in hind sight. Compelling matchups get eyeballs and make money. That's what TV networks want.
