I've never been convinced ethanol really adds much energy content


when you add in all the energy costs of growing corn etc. There's a subsidy to farmers for growing and a subsidy to oil companies to produce it which doesn't give me the good feeling that it is economically feasible - that is, it sends the wrong signals to the market - or even in that there is a a net gain in energy content period.

Love to see a total cost of production in terms of energy content created to energy used to make it.
