For all the data behind the NET, does it actually matter?

The way I use data at work or with sports bets or stock picks is that I let the data make the decisions on purpose. I take my emotions and biases and guesses out of the equation.

And when you do that, you have a clear system that can be explained. And a clear audit trail of impacts that help guide changes to the system to make it better.

A true data approach would pick and seed all 68 NCAA teams. The committee would only be needed to decide which of the four bracket sections to put teams.
