Seating minimum of 1,000 in grandstand and top 16 seed by committee

Schools have to submit “bids” and committee announces 20 potential host sites sometime end of April/early May (VT was on the list of 20 last year but a losing streak/sweep at hands of ND ended that last year)

Of course a team must win a regional to host a super regional…otherwise they’d be eliminated 😝

But if all top 8 seeds won regionals then the top 8 would host supers. So, key for VT would be to receive a top 8 seed to host supers should they win the regional. Top 16 gets a regional host…let’s say we’re 9…we’d then have to play AT #8 in supers if both teams won their regional. We’d get to host supers in the scenario if #8 seed lost in their regional
