Isotope contamination is primarily a result of processing


The methods for turning ore to weapons grade materials differ from site to site. The differences lead to fairly reliable “fingerprints “ with each refinement. The isotope percentages from site to site are pretty well know, so even if the original ore is from America, you should be able to determine a point of origin for the refinement.
