Think of it as an opportunity to teach research skills and deep learning.


Most everything today is taught at the surface level, primarily factual information from a single source of info with no thinking required. Science fair projects are a great opportunity to teach kids that not everything learned is from the first page of google results.
I strongly agree with RTFC points below.
