Not too busy at all.

My concern is that my daughter doesn't seem to be equipped with the understanding of how to conduct an experiment, eliminate unwanted variables, evaluate data, etc. It seemed like we were starting from scratch on everything. I'm sure that is largely due to having essentially lost a year of learning due to COVID, but nevertheless, it was a little bit alarming. I would have expected the class to do a simple mock experiment together at school before sending all the kids off on their own, but it doesn't seem like that happened.

In the end, I feel like we were able to teach her a lot of what was required, but I worry about the kids in my daughter's class whose parents aren't going to put in the time required, or simply don't have the basic understanding or knowledge to explain this stuff to their children.
