There are a whole lot of factions that see the current state of NIL as ending badly. In fact, it likely gets revamped within 2-3 years according to most insiders.

Moreover, I would like for an analysis of those "BILLIONS for the colleges" to be analyzed. How much of that money goes right back into the programs and support for the said same athletes? Unlike a corporate entity, there are no shareholders here and, at least for public institutions, the books are open.
