There are teams in the tournament that TAMU compares favorably to ...

TAMU - NET 43 / Conf 12-9 / Q1 4-10 / Q2 5-0 / Q3 5-2 / Q4 9-0
Notre Dame - NET 53 / Conf 15-6 / Q1 2-8 / Q2 2-1 / Q3 11-1 / Q4 6-0
Mami - NET 62 / Conf 15-7 / Q1 4-3 / Q2 5-4 / Q3 9-3 / Q4 5-0
RUTSgers - NET 77 / Conf 12-9 / Q1 6-6 / Q2 3-4 / Q3 4-2 / Q4 5-1

By any objective measure, TAMU had a better record than these three teams. (Sorry that two of them are ACC, but it is what it is.)

I think it's beyond time to get rid of the committee and to have an objective measure. Whatever that measure is, agree on it, that's the rules, and let's go with it - not a changing set of rules that they tell you after they select.

This year, the standard was the raw number of quadrant one wins - nothing else mattered. Some years it was non-conference strength of schedule. Some hears it was the number of elite teams you beat. Some years it was how bad of a team you lost to. (That obviously didn't matter this year - Rutgers lost to a team outside the top 300.)

There needs to be an objective measure that is agreed on and public.
